Kim Delaney is an American actress best known for her role as the role of Detective Diane Russell in ABCs series NYPD Blue for which she won the Emmy Award. Also, she has appeared in dramas such as All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney was the sole child of her mother who was a homemaker and senior executive from her union, the United Auto Workers. Delaney was a child with her four brothers. In childhood, Delaney dreamed of becoming a reporter for the court. The first time she began modeling was in high school and then gaining commercials when she moved into New York. The role she was given was that of a child's innocence in the soap opera All My Children. Since then Delaney has appeared in numerous TV dramas and films. In contrast to her successful professional life, Delaney's private life isn't as successful and happy. The skilled actor had to battle alcoholism, as well as two marriages that failed. She was divorced in 2005 and was denied custody of her only child that she had.
